Hallo darlings.

So much has been going on around here. No time for anything terribly sexy. I can't wait until next December when I will be done with school FOREVER! I have decided that college is not for me. Sadly I decided that four years ago and am still in college.
blah.

You don't need a degree in anything to do what I eventually want to do with my life. But at least I haven't had to take out student loans for anything, so when I finally finish my useless degree, I won't owe any money for this four-year disaster. College has been cutting far too deeply into my daily allotted sexiness.

Ah, and the reason I've barely been online--my modem got fried! That's the SECOND TIME THIS YEAR!!!
Resolve: I need a surge protector with a phone jack. That's two laptops now in the past three months that have had their modems rendered useless by a minor power surge.
Resolve II: We should just effing get highspeed internet at home so I don't NEED my stupid dialup modem any more. (Been primarily using internet when I've got time to kill on campus, and just checking my messages at night on my grandmother's dinosaur of a computer)


I've been taking doll modding commissions on DenOfAngels. That's been going OK. I keep hoping business will pick up, because I really could use more cash on hand to spend frivolously with wild abandon. haha. But I've got a few interested parties lined up who have super awesome requests. So I am hoping all those will pan out.

And I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things with my art. Lately I've been so into sculpting, but the more I think about it, the more I really do miss painting and especially comic book art. Ink is calling to me. heh.

After unexpected delays, I FINALLY got my shiny new scanner!!! Now to find a place to set it up! I have NO effing space for a computer area. Been trying to organize and rearrange stuff so I can set up both computers, my tablet, and the new printer/scanner. Sexiness will then ensue. <3

My workspace down in steerage (aka the abandoned trailer at the bottom of the hill) is STILL not finished getting set up. Had some pretty massive setbacks in that arena. But it's coming along, slowly and surely.

And I am still trying to learn to use my sewing machine. I got it as a present for my 18th birthday. I am now 22 and I still haven't learned to use the damn thing.
I think perhaps I was born to just be a hand-sewing person. ha. Or maybe I'm just a glutton for my own torture and was simply born to do everything the hard way. What's hilarious is that I was at the store today and they were selling the EXACT same sewing machine as the one I have, and they had a large sign by it saying how great it was for beginners and that it's essentially idiot-proof.

Still trying to lose some weight. It's not going so well thus far. I would direly love for about half of my fat ass to be left in a ditch somewhere so I can have an easier time becoming the GRAND HIGH LORD OF SEXINESS.

Ah, and on the doll front, I'm still working toward bringing home my newest big boy. I am getting impatient, but you know, it's my fault, after all. As soon as I finish paying for him he'll come home. Can't wait!
And in addition to that, as thanks for a couple favors a dear friend of mine is GIFTING ME an Angell Studio Cain!!! OMG! He's GORGEOUS! I'm so excited for him to get here!!! There's a good chance he'll be arriving next week.

He's french resin, which has this GORGEOUS luminous quality that really makes it come alive (my Unidoll limited UH08, Mr. Jem, has gotten me MADLY addicted to french resin. lol).
And he will have their default faceup (shown in the first pic linked above). I'm not sure what sort of wig I'll get for him yet, but I'm super excited. I'll call him Gustav, and he'll have a stage drag persona named "Xita". How exciting! I have visions of him in sparkling fishnets and a sequined bustier. I think he'll probably have two wigs, one shorter masculine one for when he is just being himself, and something fabulous for stage when he is Xita.
He won't need any work except that I'd like to give him a nude glitter manicure and ****MAYBE**** a hint of shimmer on his faceup.
We'll see.



In any case, the grandmother will be away for the next few hours, so I will have the house all to myself this afternoon. I do believe that means it's time to watch obnoxious cartoons and kick back!
